Other Tournaments

Australian Go Championship (CP) (AGA) - Brisbane hosts this once every four years (last in 2006). In 2008 Brisbane hosts the "Nats" in a reshuffle while Canberra gets back on its feet. 2008 Australian Go Championships: 21 - 23 November 2008 at Brisbane Bridge Centre, 104 Frederick St. Annerley, in the upstairs room. Download the information sheet and entry form.

We will have two professional players at the teaching day on Friday 21 November, which should be really worthwhile. They are Wu Shu Hao 3P (speaking only Chinese) and An Young Gil 6P speaking English and Korean. Anyone can join this event by paying the appropriate fee, and registering by Thursday 20th November.

Entries for the tournament (Saturday and Sunday) are still being accepted. Already there are 22 entrants in the open (dan) division, and thirteen in the kyu (handicap) division. We even plan to run a limited one day event on Saturday for beginners. Please note the deadline of Wednesday 19 November to register for the tournament.

This will be a fun event and all go players are invited to participate.
