13 November On Tuesday 18 November Wu Shu Hao 3P from China will attend the Brisbane Go Club to play simultaneous matches. There will be a special fee structure to play the professional, but normal go games may also be played with the usual fees.

23 July 2008 Brisbane - born go prodigy Joanne Missingham came 2nd out of eighty-eight entrants in the Chinese Women's Pro Exam, and thus becomes the first ever Australian citizen to become a professional go player. Considering that there are probably no more that 1,500 go professionals in the whole world, this is an amazing feat. Joanne's final result in the exam was 9-2.
