Australian Go Association

The Australian Go Association (AGA) is an association of Australian go clubs. Its aim is to manage go activities in Australia and to be the link with the international go community. The AGA is a founding member of the International Go Federation (IGF).

AGA activities include:

• Setting a tournament structure for National and State events
• maintaining a list of national player ranks
• Running the representative Credit Point scheme
• Selecting representatives at international events

Credit Point Scheme

There are a number of regular and special international events to which Australia is invited to send representatives.

To create a fair structure for selecting international reps, Credit Points (CP) are used. Certain tournaments attract CP and usually require membership of the AGA to participate.
